Avocado oil fixed my sticky seasoning problem

I spent like 3 months fighting with my 12 inch Lodge pan. Every time I cooked eggs they'd glue themselves to the surface no matter how much butter I used. Finally tried seasoning with avocado oil at 475°F for an hour and did 3 rounds of it. Now eggs slide around like they're on glass lol has anyone else had better luck with certain oils over others?

wait, you did THREE rounds of avocado oil at 475?? that's wild. i tried grapeseed oil once and it just made my pan all gummy and gross, i was so mad because everyone online swore by it. avocado oil seems like the holy grail honestly, i've heard its smoke point is way better for getting that slick finish. maybe i just need to crank my oven higher and do multiple coats like you, cause my eggs are still sticking no matter what i do.

Avocado oil is totally worth switching to for that high heat seasoning, just make sure you wipe off as much as you think you should then wipe it again like you made a mistake... leaving too much on will get sticky even with avocado oil. Crank it to 475 for a full hour per coat and let it cool completely in the oven between rounds, that's what finally got my pan nonstick for eggs.
