Discovered the salt scrub trick at a campground in Tennessee last fall
I was camping with my brother near the Smokies and we used his old Lodge skillet for bacon and eggs. After breakfast he dumped a bunch of coarse salt in the hot pan and scrubbed it with a paper towel. Came out totally clean without any soap. I had always scrubbed mine with soap and water and wondered why the seasoning got patchy. Anyone else do this salt thing or am I behind the times?

Tried it a few months back after watching a YouTube video and now I'm hooked. Works great for getting stuck bits off without wrecking the pan.
