Hit 100 seasoning layers on my old Lodge and lost count twice

I was wiping on another layer of flaxseed oil last week when my kid asked why the pan had more coats than we have socks, and I realized I'd passed 100 without even noticing, which is wild because I only started tracking when I got obsessed with that mirror finish you see on YouTube.

And I thought I was dedicated with my 40 layer count on my old Wagner, you've got me beat by a long shot. There's something almost meditative about the whole process, isn't there, like you're building up a little bit of patience and care with each coat. Glad to see I'm not the only one who loses track once you get past a certain point, it becomes more about the routine than the number.
