I finally gave in and bought a chainmail scrubber for $12
I used to think chainmail was just for fancy chefs on YouTube and not worth the money. But after burning through three plastic scrubbers in a month on my Lodge skillet, I ordered one off Amazon. That little ring of metal stripped off stuck-on eggs in like 20 seconds with no damage to my seasoning. Has anyone else had a cheap scrubber fail on them like I did?

Did you try rinsing those plastic scrubbers or did they just melt into a ball of sadness like mine did?

Oh man @the_jennifer, that's exactly what happened to mine - they turned into this sad, melted blob that looked like a melted toy from the 80s. I tried rinsing them with hot water and they just got worse, kind of like when you try to fix a bad haircut (you know how that goes). So yeah, total ball of sadness is the perfect way to describe it.
