I'm done with flaxseed oil seasoning, it flaked on me twice

Ngl, I spent $14 on a bottle of flaxseed oil after everyone swore it gave the perfect hard coat. Both my skillet and griddle peeled within a month, leaving shiny sticky patches. Anyone else go back to plain crisco after trying the fancy stuff?

Mine flaked so bad my wife thought I cooked fish. Back to Crisco.
