My buddy's "just cook bacon" seasoning advice finally clicked
Was complaining about my crusty skillet at the bar last night and this regular goes "you're overthinking it, just cook bacon in it every morning for a week." Tried it and after 3 days the thing looks better than my 5-step seasoning routine ever did. Has anyone else had a simple fix like that totally change your cast iron game?

You said 'bacon grease is polymerizing magic' and yeah it works, but it's not just the grease doing the work. The salt and sugar in most bacon help scrub off weak seasoning while you cook. So you're basically fixing and rebuilding at the same time.
