TIL my grandma's trick of drying cast iron on the stove burner is actually the real deal
I always thought leaving it on the burner for 10 minutes after wiping it down was just old lady superstition and a good way to warp a pan, but I did it for 2 months straight on my 12 inch Lodge and not one spot of rust has shown up. My old method of towel drying left flash rust at the edges within a week. Anyone else's grandma get this one right or did I just get lucky?
