My kid asked why we eat bean night every Tuesday, and now I'm second guessing the whole rotation
Every Tuesday for the past 3 months my family has eaten some kind of bean dish because it costs about $4 total for a pot that feeds all 4 of us, and my 9 year old finally asked me at dinner last week why we never have anything else on Tuesdays. So here is the debate I keep having with myself: is a strict weekly rotation like mine smart because it kills the 'what's for dinner' stress and keeps the grocery bill at $85 a week, or does it just make everyone bored and sneakily picky over time? My wife says the kids don't care and I'm overthinking it, but my buddy swears mixing it up nightly is why his teens still eat everything. Do you all run a set rotation in your house or just cook whatever is in the fridge and hope it works out?
