Warning: I was wrong about frozen veggies for quick dinners
Stopped at Aldi on a Tuesday night to grab milk and saw a guy fill half his cart with those $1 steam bags of mixed vegetables. I used to think frozen was a cheat and fresh was the only way, but my electric bill hit $180 in July and I caved. Last week I made a 15 minute stir fry with a $1 bag of peppers, half an onion going soft in the drawer, and a leftover chicken breast. The peppers held up way better than the sad fresh ones I paid $3 for, and dinner cost me maybe $2.50 a plate. Anyone else switch to frozen for weeknights or am I the last holdout?
