Gave up telling new line cooks to stop wiping their knives on their aprons

Five years ago I would correct every cook who dragged their chef knife across their pant leg, but last month I counted seven cuts from dull blades on my station alone. Has anyone else just stopped fighting that battle or am I the only one letting it slide?

Hold up, are you saying you'd rather risk the cuts than keep reminding them about basic knife care?

risk the cuts" - that's exactly it man. I swear it's like people pick the hardest way on purpose. Same thing at the hardware store, guys grab the wrong tool three times before asking for help.
