Oh man, that's hilarious. I once changed my whole grilling method because a neighbor's kid said my burgers looked dry. Turns out a seven year old just likes ketchup soup. So maybe my pasta and I have both been victims of bad advice from the dish pit, lol.

My grandma kneaded her dough for ten minutes and her pasta was always perfect. That dishwasher might have just been having a bad day. Why trust a random comment over generations of proven technique?

But honestly, sometimes a fresh set of eyes or a random comment can make you rethink things for the BETTER. I've learned more from random coworkers than any cookbook, just because they see what you're too close to notice.
