Switched from a wooden spoon to a fish spatula for sauteing and my wrist stopped hurting by the end of service

Been using a wooden spoon for years on the line at this Italian spot in Brooklyn, but after a double shift last Friday my wrist was killing me. Now I use a fish spatula for tossing veggies and stirring pans since its thinner and lighter anyone else ditch their old go-to tools for something weird?

Fish spatula changed the whole game for me too. Way less drag on the wrist when you're flipping and stirring all night. Sometimes the "wrong" tool is the right one.

Wait, you've had wrist issues too? That's exactly why I switched - the thin metal just glides through stuff compared to a thick Turner. I used to get this dull ache after a long night of cooking, and the fish spatula fixed it overnight. It's funny how the tool that looks too flimsy ends up being the one that saves your arm. Honestly, I use mine for everything now, even things it's probably not meant for (like scraping the pan or stirring a sauce).
