That 60 dollar fish spatula was a total scam

I dropped 60 bucks on a fancy angled fish spatula because a line cook swore it was the only tool for delicate fillets at the crab boil I do every spring. The thing bent on its third use flipping a flounder, and the handle got so loose it felt like a toy. Anyone else get burned by pricey single-purpose tools, or do you stick with the basic ones from the restaurant supply store?

Restaurant supply store basics all day. That fancy stuff is just marketing for home cooks with cash to burn. My cheap metal turner has flipped a thousand fish and never even creaked. Spend the extra money on better fish, not a gimmick spatula.
