A squirrel nest in a flue gave me my hardest call in 20 years
I was out in Bethel cleaning a old farmhouse chimney last fall and pulled the brush back with a ton of black debris plus a bunch of twigs and leaves. Turns out a squirrel had packed a nest right above the damper and it had been smoking into the house for weeks without the owner knowing. Has anyone else found something wild like that inside a chimney?

That thing's a good point about raccoons... I guess my worst chimney find was my dignity after I climbed up there and got stuck for 20 minutes.
