Cleaned my 500th chimney this morning and the number really hit me

I was updating my log book after a job in Oak Park and saw the total. It took me eight years to get there, starting with just a basic brush and rods. The thing that got me was thinking about all the different liners I've seen and how much creosote that adds up to. Anyone else keep a count and find it changes how you see the work?
