Cleared my 500th flue liner last week and the number hit me harder than I expected.
It was a standard brick ranch in Springfield, and when I logged the job later that night, the counter on my app just rolled over. I guess it made me think about all the soot and creosote I've seen over the years... What's a job count or milestone that made you pause and look back?

That's a lot of chimneys. Makes you think about all the hours, for sure.

You're right, Jordan, it really puts the scale of the work into perspective. Imagine the sore backs from laying all that brick. A whole lifetime of labor right there in one photo.

Hold up though, maybe it's not as bad as it looks. If you've got a good crew working together with modern equipment, laying brick goes a lot faster than people think. These guys probably had scaffolding and power mixers, not like they were doing everything by hand with a trowel and a wheelbarrow. Plus, a lot of those chimneys might be hollow or just for show, not solid stacks of brick from ground to roof. I'm betting the real hours were spent on the roofs and flashing, not just stacking bricks.
