Creosote logs don't replace a real scrape
Last fall I ran one of those cleaning logs on a job in Dayton and told the homeowner it was enough. Came back 3 months later for a reline quote, the flue had a solid 1/4 inch of glaze stuck on. Took me 45 minutes with a rotary brush to knock it down. Has anyone else seen these logs leave a hard layer that actually gets worse with heat?
