Shoutout to the guy at the hardware store who told me his chimney sweep found a raccoon family last spring
He said the sweep just calmly told him 'Looks like you've got tenants, that'll be an extra $150 for the eviction fee', which made me realize I should probably add 'wildlife removal' to my service list before next season, anyone else had a similar surprise up a flue?

Wildlife removal" sounds a bit dramatic for what's probably just a one-time thing.

Yeah, I read a piece about how "one-time" wildlife issues often aren't, @jason_black2. It said animals leave scent trails that bring others back, or they've already made a nest somewhere you can't see. So calling a pro early can actually stop a bigger problem later.
