Splurged $300 on a carbon fiber brush set for tight flues

I've been fighting with those tight offset flues in old houses around here for years. Finally broke down and got that carbon fiber rod set from the supply house. Man, it was worth every penny. The rods don't flex near as much as my old fiberglass ones, and I can actually feel the brush scraping the sides now. Cut my time on a cramped job in a 1920s Victorian from 2 hours down to maybe 45 minutes. Has anyone else tried the carbon fiber stuff or am I just late to the party?

Did you notice any difference in how much torque you can put on the carbon rods before they start to bind up? I've always worried about snapping the fiberglass rods on a tight 90 degree turn, and that's kept me from really leaning into them. Just trying to figure out if the carbon fiber lets you put more muscle behind those stubborn spots without breaking.
