Brought a reusable water bottle to a protest and it backfired hard

I was at the big climate rally in Portland last summer, 90 degrees out, and I thought I was being eco-friendly by bringing my stainless steel bottle. But the cops started using tear gas around 2pm, and that metal bottle got hot as hell from the sun. I couldn't even hold it. Ended up dehydrated and had to leave early. Anyone else have a "green" choice turn into a problem in a real situation?

Cops using tear gas is the real problem here, not your bottle.

Totally disagree. Throwing a bottle at someone is assault regardless of what the cops are doing.
