I finally caught myself wasting 8 months of kitchen scraps the wrong way

I was throwing ALL my veggie peels and fruit rinds straight into my backyard compost bin for over 8 months, wondering why it smelled like a garbage dump instead of soil. Then my neighbor saw me tossing in onion skins and citrus peels and said 'you know those take forever to break down, right?' and showed me her worm bin setup that handles them way better. Has anyone else had a moment where you realized your whole composting method was off and had to start over?

Dude, have you tried using those stackable tray systems? I started with a single tub and it was fine but the trays make it SO much easier to harvest the castings without disturbing the worms. My plants have never looked better since I started using the castings in my potting mix. It's honestly addicting watching them turn kitchen scraps into that rich black gold stuff. Once you get the moisture levels right they basically do all the work for you.
