I threw $400 down the drain on a portable solar generator that barely charges a phone

Bought a 300W solar generator from a brand I saw advertised everywhere. Figured it'd run my CPAP and a few lights during power outages. First real test came during a storm here in Phoenix last month. Plugged in my 40W fridge and it shut down after 2 hours. The solar panel took 8 hours of full sun to get it back to 50%. Called support and they said I needed a bigger unit. Wished I'd asked around here first. Anyone else get burned by those cheap solar all-in-one kits?

My buddy got one and now uses it exclusively to charge his vape pen at the beach.
