I was dead wrong about solar garden lights
I bought a 6 pack of cheap solar path lights from Home Depot last summer just to test them out. Honestly thought they'd be dim and die by fall like every other set I tried. But these little things are still putting out steady light every night even through the cloudy Pacific Northwest winter. They actually saved me about $30 a month on having my porch and walkway lights on a timer. Has anyone else had a solar product surprise them like this?

Haven't you noticed those cheap solar lights are basically just plastic junk that'll end up in a landfill? I tried a similar set from Lowes and they conked out after three months, barely made it through one season. Plus the light they put out is so weak and bluish it makes my walkway look like a hospital corridor. How much did those things really save you after factoring in the battery replacements or the cost of buying new ones every year?

Throw a few extra in a sunny spot and they'll actually charge enough to last through the gray days.
