Last Tuesday was the weirdest weather day I've ever worked through

I was out on a job in north Portland clearing some dead ash trees when it went from sunny to hailing in about 15 minutes flat. Then the wind picked up so hard I had to tie down my bucket truck to a telephone pole just to keep it steady. By 2pm the sun was back out and it hit 75 degrees like nothing happened. Has anyone else had a day where the weather just seemed broken like that?

Portland weather is like that one coworker who shows up late, screams at everyone, then acts like nothing happened. I was out in Gresham a couple months ago and watched a transformer blow from the hail while the sun was shining on the other side of the street. The clouds were literally fighting each other up there.

Man, I swear Portland weather has zero chill. I was working on a roof in Southeast a few years back and it went from dead calm to a microburst that threw my coworker's hard hat clear across the street. Then it just stopped, sun came out, and we found the hat in a storm drain an hour later. Mother Nature's got a weird sense of humor, like she's testing us just to see what we'll put up with.
