My community solar panels have been down for 3 months and nobody cares
Signed up for a local solar garden back in February because I can't put panels on my roof. The inverter broke in June and they still haven't fixed it. I called the company 4 times and they keep saying parts are on backorder. Meanwhile I'm paying the same electric bill as before. What good is a solar subscription if they can't keep the equipment running? Anyone else stuck in a similar situation with their shared solar setup?

Used to think community solar was the smart play for renters like me. Watched a friend deal with this exact same crap though - their garden was down for 4 months while they still paid the monthly subscription fee. Total scam energy. The company kept saying supply chain issues, but then we found out they were just dragging their feet because it was cheaper to leave it broken. Made me realize you're basically trusting some random company to keep the lights on, and if they don't care, you're stuck.
