My worm bin got up to 90 degrees last week

I started a small worm composting setup in my garage back in March, and last week the pile somehow heated up way more than I expected. Turns out I added too much kitchen waste without enough bedding, but the worms survived and now I know to balance things better. Anyone else accidentally make a compost heater instead of just dirt?

Keep a box of baking soda nearby. Learned that one the hard way.
