Saw my local creek drop 3 feet in 5 years since they paved the new subdivision

I've been walking the same trail along Mill Creek near my house since 2019. The water level is visibly lower every spring, and last month I could see exposed tree roots I'd never noticed before. Anyone else noticing local waterways changing faster than expected?

Well, isn't it nice that we can watch our creeks disappear in real time while the developers count their money? I guess those new drainage pipes do a fine job of sending all that water somewhere other than where it used to go. At this rate, Mill Creek will be a nice dry ditch for the subdivision kids to play in by 2030.
