Switched from tossing food scraps in the trash to a worm bin in my kitchen

Ngl, I used to just throw all my veggie peels and leftovers into the regular garbage without thinking twice. About 4 months ago, I set up a small worm bin under my sink after seeing a friend do it in Portland. Now I dump coffee grounds, eggshells, and carrot tops in there and the worms turn it into compost in like 6 weeks. The crazy part is my trash doesn't smell anymore and I'm down to one bag a week. Has anyone else tried keeping worms indoors or is that just me?

My worm bin started stinking until I stopped putting citrus in there.
