The office recycling bins that kept getting contaminated in Denver
At my job in Denver, we had three recycling stations on the 4th floor, but every week the janitor flagged them because people threw in greasy pizza boxes and plastic bags. Last month I put up simple signs with pictures of what goes where, and I also moved the trash can 10 feet away from the bins. Contamination dropped from about 40% to under 15% in two weeks. Has anyone else tried moving the garbage farther away to fix this, or did it not help in your building?
