TIL choosing the reusable bag over the paper one actually saved me money

I had to pick between a $1 plastic bag and a $3 reusable tote at the grocery store on Broadway last week, and I went with the reusable. Three days later, I used that same tote for a library run and a farmer's market stop, so it already paid for itself. Has anyone else noticed their reusable bags just end up being way more useful than they expected?

Did you check if the store gives a small discount for bringing your own bag?

Check your local store policy first, they usually only do that in certain cities or regions.
