Had a crash at 3 am on a Friday at a shop in Toledo that changed how I set up offsets

Was running a Haas VF-4 and the tool probe hit a rogue chip. Threw a $600 endmill and scrapped a casting. Anyone else double check their offsets after every tool change now?

A rogue chip's a fancy name for that moment when your wallet starts crying.

Ngl your wallet crying is a good thing sometimes. Those rogue chips make you try stuff you normally wouldn't and you discover new flavors you actually like. Plus money comes back but missing out on a new go-to snack stays with you.
