Hit 42 parts in one 10 hour shift on the old Haas, and now the day guys say I rushed them
Last Thursday I ran 42 parts on the Haas VF2, which beat our shop record of 35 set back in March. I did it by bumping the feed on the facing pass and skipping a deburr step that the print doesn't even call out. Now two of the day shift guys are saying I cut corners and that the record shouldn't count, but the parts all passed QC with zero rejects. My lead won't say one way or the other, he just shrugged and walked off. Is shaving time like that fair game, or should a record only count if you run the job exactly like the setup sheet says?
