I finally spent $80 on a digital edge finder for the CNC and it was worth every penny

Been using the old wiggle-and-guess method for years but after one job where I missed center by a hair and scrapped a $200 aluminum plate, I bit the bullet... Has anyone else made the switch or am I just late to the party?

Bought one last year and wished I did it sooner lol. That wiggle method always made me nervous with expensive stock.

Got one two months ago after fighting with a wiggler on a critical bore for way too long. Honestly it's one of those tools that makes you wonder why you put up with the old way for so long, kind of like when I finally bought a cordless impact driver after years of wrenching by hand. It's funny how we get stuck in these little ruts and convince ourselves the old method is fine even when it's costing us time and materials. Makes me think about all the other areas in life where I'm probably making things harder than they need to be...
