Old job shop memory resurfaced after 15 years

Watching a kid run a 5-axis like it was nothing took me back to 2009 in Cleveland, when I stayed late to fix a tool offset and the old timer showed me his dead-blow trick. Now I keep a dead-blow within arm's reach, anyone else still carry habits from a mentor or shop that shut down?
