Rant: My lead's 'just run it faster' comment about chatter got under my skin

Tbh, we were fighting tool deflection on a 7075 part in Phoenix and my lead said 'crank the feed up, it'll be fine' without even looking at the tool path. That got me wondering how many of us actually trust our own setup over a guy with 15 years in the shop, so has anyone else had a boss's shortcut advice backfire on a tight tolerance?
