Stop touching the part while the spindle is spinning, seriously

Saw a new guy at our shop in Dayton try to brush chips off a live part with his bare hand yesterday, nearly lost a finger for a 30 second shortcut. We all do dumb stuff when we're rushing, but has anyone else had to deal with a coworker who just won't respect the machine until it bites them?
