That veteran operator told me to skip the coolant mister...
Old guy named Carl at the shop in Detroit kept saying I didn't need a mist system for aluminum, just flood coolant and sharp tooling. I spent $300 on a fancy mister kit anyway and it made a sticky mess all over my enclosure. After 2 months I ditched it and went back to his way, parts come out way cleaner now. Anyone else find misters are more trouble than they're worth on 6061?

Ditched mine too, Carl was right." Man, I felt that. I dropped a hundred bucks on mine and spent more time scraping sticky gunk off my table than actually cutting parts. Guess some lessons just come with a receipt.
