Tried a 0.001 end mill on brass and it snapped in under 30 seconds

I figured running it at 80k RPM would keep the tool load light, but the vibration just tore it apart right away. Anyone else found a feed rate that actually works for tiny end mills on softer metals?

80k RPM is actually on the high side for brass, it's soft enough that the tool can grab and chatter instead of cutting clean. Dropping down to maybe 40-50k with a slightly higher feed might help keep the cut constant and stop it from snapping so fast.
