Am I the only one who picked the wrong language to start with and had to start over?
So about 8 months ago I sat down to finally learn to code and got stuck on the very first decision, Python or JavaScript. I picked JavaScript because some list online said it was the most used language, which felt like a smart move at the time. Big mistake for me personally. Two months in I was staring at the curly braces and callback stuff in a tutorial and my eyes just glazed over, nothing clicked. I switched to Python last weekend and suddenly the same basic loops and little guessing game exercises made sense in about 3 hours, which was kind of insulting honestly. My cousin who does this stuff for a living just laughed and asked why I never asked him first. So now I'm curious, did you pick your first language on a whim or did you actually think it through?
