Found my old first project from 2021 and cringed so hard

I was cleaning out my Google Drive last week and stumbled on a Python script I wrote three years ago when I first started learning. It was supposed to be a simple calculator but it had like 12 if statements all nested together and a ton of print statements everywhere. No functions at all. I remember being so proud that it worked even though it took 200 lines for something that should take 30. Looking at it now I realize I had no idea what I was doing but I kept going anyway. That messy code actually got me through the basics because I had to debug it every time I added a feature. Has anyone else gone back and looked at their early stuff and wondered how it even ran?

Cringing at old code feels a little dramatic, it's just a stepping stone like everyone else has. Did you learn from it or just delete it and move on?

Wait, @oscarcooper you actually deleted your old code without looking back? I'd have to at least keep it around as a bad memory, like a digital scar or something.
