I hit 100 days of coding streaks on a calendar app and felt nothing
I started learning Python last October and decided to mark an X on a paper calendar for every day I wrote any code, even just one line. Last week I hit 100 X's in a row, and my first thought was just, huh, that many. The weird part is I still can't build anything useful, my biggest project is a script that renames my downloads folder files by date. It took me 3 weeks to even figure out for loops, and I probably googled "how to append to a list" about 40 times. So the streak number looks impressive but my actual skills feel stuck at day 4. Does a streak actually mean anything to you, or is it just a number that keeps you going?
