My print statement said 'hello' for 3 hours and I almost cried with joy

So I'm 2 months into learning Python, finally got past the tutorial hell. I wrote my first loop that actually did something, a countdown from 10. Simple right? I ran it and nothing happened. Checked the terminal, nothing. I stared at it for a solid 10 minutes, checked my indentation, checked my colon placement, everything looked right. Then I realized I had the print statement inside the FILES section of VS Code, not the terminal. Yeah. The console was showing the output the whole time, I just had two tabs open on my laptop and was looking at the wrong one. My buddy next to me at the coffee shop in Portland saw my face go from panic to relief and asked if I was okay. Now I triple check which panel I'm staring at before I complain. Has anyone else spent way too long looking at the wrong window while debugging? Asking so I don't feel completely alone here.

That happens to everyone at least once. The real mistake was blaming the indentation before checking what tab you had open.
