Serious question, did anyone else waste week one copying code instead of typing it?
Last Monday I started Angela Yu's Python course and breezed through the first 40 lessons by copy pasting every example right into PyCharm, and by Thursday I sat down to build the tip calculator on my own with a blank screen in front of me and could not write a single loop. A guy in the course Discord named DevMike told me the copy paste habit set him back 3 weeks because his fingers never learned the syntax, so I started retyping every example from scratch, mistakes and all, and it felt painfully slow at first. How long did it take you to stop leaning on copy paste, and did anything specific finally make the syntax stick?
