The $40 CSS course that left me more confused than before

I finally caved last month and paid $40 for a CSS course because every free tutorial kept skipping over flexbox. The instructor rushed through the basics in 20 minutes, then spent an hour on fancy animations I will never use. I ended up back on YouTube and a free MDN guide taught me more in one evening. Has anyone else wasted money on a paid course that just repeated the free stuff, or did I just pick a bad one?

Did you check the reviews before you bought it? I read somewhere that most paid coding courses are just repackaged free content with a fancy sales page, and that really stuck with me. The good ones usually let you preview their actual teaching style first, not just a hype video. $40 is rough but honestly it's a cheap lesson compared to some of the $200 ones I've seen people complain about. The flexbox thing is tricky too cause everyone teaches it different, but MDN is solid like you said. My rule now is if I can't find the instructor's free stuff beforehand, I skip it. You probably just picked a bad one though, there's gotta be some good ones out there.
