Tutorial hell is real, I wasted 4 months on YouTube courses before building anything

I watched 80+ hours of Python tutorials but my first real script took 3 days just to get running. Building a tiny weather app for my city taught me more in one weekend than all those videos combined. Has anyone else found that following along with docs beats watching tutorials?
