A regular at my shop in Denver said my pour was too fast. Slowed it down to 30 seconds and the flavor got way better.

So that's a huge difference. What kind of coffee were you pouring, and did you change anything else like the grind size when you slowed down?

Watched my buddy switch to a washed Ethiopian and grind a touch finer. He slowed his pour way down, almost like he was counting the drips. Said it brought out a crazy floral note he never got before, totally changed that coffee for him.

Try a slightly finer grind and keep your pour steady.
