Found my dad's old coffee tin in the garage
I was cleaning out some boxes and came across his beat-up tin of coffee from like 20 years ago. It made me realize we used to just drink whatever was there to talk and hang out, not worry about single origin or pour overs. Do you think coffee has gotten too complicated, or is it better now?

My own pour over setup is a mess, but I get what @moore.oscar means about the process.

Yeah, too complicated. When did it become a hobby?

Remember when I first saw a sourdough starter last year... I thought it was way too much work. But after my neighbor gave me some of hers, I actually got into it. Now I bake bread every weekend and it's weirdly relaxing... The complexity kinda became the point, you know? Like, figuring out the timing and feeding it just clicked for me.
