My pour-over stand collapsed mid-brew and sent 30 bucks of beans flying
Was doing my morning routine with the fancy glass carafe when the wooden stand just gave out at the hinge, dumping hot water and grounds all over my kitchen counter in Tulsa, so now I'm hand-holding the dripper like a caveman until I find a replacement, has anyone else had one of these fail right at the joint?

Oh man that sound of glass and beans hitting the counter is the worst. I had a cheap wooden stand from a flea market do the same thing a couple years back, except it was the little peg that holds the dripper that snapped, not the hinge. My cat came running in and started batting the wet grounds around like they were toys, which was a whole other mess to deal with. I ended up drilling a hole through the base and bolting a metal bracket on it, ugly as sin but it held for a while. After that I just switched to setting the dripper right on top of my mug, honestly saves the counter space anyway.
