One perfect Tuesday at the coffee cart in the library

Back in the fall of 2019, I was running a tiny coffee cart at the university library, just me and a beat-up La Marzocco. Every Tuesday was slow until around 10 AM, then chaos. But this one Tuesday, everything clicked. I had prepped the beans at home, dialed them in on my old hand grinder after 3 tries, and the first pull came out like sweet caramel, not bitter or sour. Then a line of regulars showed up, all in a good mood. One guy said "this tastes better than the shop downtown," which made my whole week. By noon I had served 47 cups and didn't burn a single milk pitcher. It rained outside, windows fogged up, and the whole library smelled like fresh roast. I still think about that day when I'm struggling with a finicky machine now. Has anyone else had a shift where everything just went right?
