Pro tip: Try your coffee with a pinch of salt

My mail route neighbor is a retired barista from that old shop on 3rd Street. She told me salt cuts bitterness way better than sugar does, especially with dark roasts. I tried it last Tuesday with my usual morning cup and honestly couldn't believe the difference. Has anyone else messed around with salt in their brew?

Actually, salt works better on lighter roasts since they tend to be more acidic and bitter.

Betty has a point about lighter roasts. The salt definitely smoothed out the acidity in my morning cup. Worth trying both ways to see what hits right for you.
